What are you pumping?
Waste trap grease, caked in sediment, hardened mud and thicker fluids are all good applications for a vacuum pump. Why? These types of fluids require high suction power to either transfer the fluid in the case of waste trap grease or loosen the caked in mud and sediment. We see this a lot when a customer has a waste fluid pit and the water sits on top in the pit or tank and the mud, silt sediment or grease sits on the bottom. Wastecorp’s Mud Sucker diaphragm pump is one example of a typical pump installation for funeral home sumps, catch basins and embalming room applications. The Mud Sucker is a solids handling pump so blood, fat and bodily fluids are able to be transferred by the pump and discharge appropriately. In the photo you see here a Mud Sucker 2FACB-EC Is connected to the funeral home sump in the basement. The sump pit has suction lines from the embalming room and wastewater lines . Aod Pumps: Repair it or Replace it?
Aod pumps. They have been around for years for pumping everything from wastewater to oil slurry to sludge. Almost every pump distributor out there has either pushed Wilden, Sand Piper or some other air operated diaphragm pump option at least historically any way. As these pumps age, end users and operators have the issue to grapple with: do I repair my AOD pump or do I replace it? Can I still tolerate my energy bill from Aod pumps or is there a viable alternative?
