A double disc pump is a kind of pumping equipment designed to transfer municipal sewage, industrial wastewater containing solids, food processing waste and much more.
The Sludge Pro double disc pump manufactured by Wastecorp Pumps, is available in two series: the Sludge Pro WP Series and the Sludge Pro MK Series. The MK Series design is based on induced flow and the WP Series is based on the traditional reciprocating positive displacement pump principle. Wastecorp is proud to design and manufacture both Series. The WP Series features a check ball style to assist in pumping heavier solids at wastewater treatment plants without screening. The MK Series features two discs operating in tandem to pump sewage and waste. You can reach a double disc pump expert at 1-888-829-2783 or email info@wastecorp.com
What sizes of double disc pumps are available?
Sludge pro double disc pumps are available in 3", 4", 6", 8" and 10" connection sizes
What Makes The Sludge Pro Different?
Wastecorp offers a revolutionary way to maintain a double disc pump with optional guide pilot technology. To access the trunnion and disc area (the main wear items for the pump) the operator tilts the pump at the press of a button. Some piping may need to be unfastened during this process. The operator removes the casting and accesses the interior of the pump within view. The wear items can be replaced quickly and the pump put back into service. You also have choices for pump protection with optional pressure sensor assemblies which shuts down the pump in the event of overpressurization. The biggest difference is in our Wastecorp's people, some with over 30 years of experience in the business. Lifetime support (phone, email) is included with your Sludge Pro along with heavy duty components to last the long haul.

If you compare the cost of ownership of Sludge Pro Double Disc Pumps versus rotary lobe pumps, progressive cavity pumps, plunger pumps and trash pumps who do my long term costs look like?
There are many options on the market for pumping municipal sewage, industrial sludge and food processing waste. For progressive cavity pumps and rotary lobe pumps, many manufacturers have high repair parts costs throughout the life cycle. This can amount to thousands in repair parts costs over the life cycle of the pump(s). Don’t be fooled by a lower initial pump price. Sludge Pro double disc pumps may be much lower in cost to operate over a 15-20 year span.
